About the Course

We have all had experiences where we felt hurt, let down or mistreated by others. The feelings we have at such times can be deeply unpleasant, or unbearable. We can react by developing resentment, hardening our heart, desiring revenge, or even forming our main sense of identity around such events. We then carry this emotional baggage with us, and  recreate a similar perception of ourself and others in the present. Then the familiar cycle goes on. From Buddhist teachings we can understand that unless we change our habitual response, this cycle will continue endlessly. Alternatively, we can lay down the burden of the past, allow patience, love and wisdom to grow, where once dismay and bitterness dwelt, and find meaning, fortitude and happiness from the many challenges we have had to encounter.

The course is divided into two sessions with a break for refreshments.

Everyone is welcome!
