About the Learn to Meditate Workshop

We regularly hold this introductory course designed especially for beginners…

On this course everyone will learn simple meditations which can be practised at home or any time you need a break from busy daily life. Applying the methods taught will lead to happiness, a sense of purpose and harmony in your relationships. Guided by an experienced Meditation Teacher, this course is the perfect opportunity to learn meditation techniques and clarify any questions you may have. Meditation has many benefits such as:

  • Deep Relaxation

  • Improved health & physical well-being

  • Increased mental clarity & concentration

  • Developing a more positive approach to life

JessikakiniJess is a joyful and dedicated student who has been practising Kadampa Buddhism for several years and now serves as our Temple Coordinator.  Her previous work enabled her to travel extensively and meet a wide variety of people from all walks of life.  Jess combines her diverse personal experience with practical insight and a warm heart in all the classes she teaches. Jess teaches the Southside class and Kids Club classes, as well as regular Saturday courses at the temple.

Joelle is a warm and friendly teacher with a background in social care. She enjoys teaching in an interactive way and is very skilled at making the teachings accessible and easy to understand. Joelle has recently been enjoying some maternity leave and is happy to be back teaching at KMC Glasgow.
