About the Learn to Meditate Workshop

We regularly hold this introductory course designed especially for beginners…

On this course everyone will learn simple meditations which can be practised at home or any time you need a break from busy daily life. Applying the methods taught will lead to happiness, a sense of purpose and harmony in your relationships. Guided by an experienced Meditation Teacher, this course is the perfect opportunity to learn meditation techniques and clarify any questions you may have. Meditation has many benefits such as:

  • Deep Relaxation

  • Improved health & physical well-being

  • Increased mental clarity & concentration

Drolkar is a joyful and dedicated student who has been practising Kadampa Buddhism for several years and now serves as our Temple Coordinator.  She has recently ordained as a Buddhist nun.  Her previous work enabled her to travel extensively and meet a wide variety of people from all walks of life.  Drolkar combines her diverse personal experience with practical insight and a warm heart in all the classes she teaches. She teaches the Southside class and Kids Club classes, as well as regular Saturday courses at the temple.

March 3 – Gen Kelsang Machigmachig

Gen Kelsang Machig is the retired principal teacher of our West End Centre, Vajrayana Buddhist Centre, and teaches occasional classes and special events at KMC Glasgow and Vajrayana Buddhist Centre.  A devoted meditator with over a decade of teaching experience, Machig shares her wealth of understanding with others with great insight, warmth, and humour.  A well-loved teacher not to be missed!
