Leave your stressful life behind you for the day and immerse yourself in meditations that promote peace of mind, and practical solutions to your daily problems and greater personal insight.  Each Mindfulness Urban Retreat offers an ideal opportunity to gain deeper experience of practical and effective meditations on a particular Buddhist topic that will change your life.

Special emphasis is placed on:

  • gaining confidence as a meditator with qualified guidance

  • practising mindfulness throughout the day, and

  • learning how to take your experience from the retreat into the rest of your life

Schedule for the day:

Session 1: 10-11am | Tea break: 11-11.30pm
Session 2: 11.30-12.30pm | Lunch break: 12.30-1.30pm
Session 3: 1.30- 2.30pm | Tea break : 2.30-3pm
Session 4: 3-4pm

July 8 | Inner Peace

We are all searching for happiness but never seem to get it right. We constantly change jobs, homes, relationships trying to get that feeling of contentment which seems so elusive.

Buddha teaches that happiness is a state of mind arising from inner peace therefore the place to look and make changes is the mind. A day retreat, focussing on the true source of happiness will allow us to experience our own inner peace and inspire us to bring the practice of mindfulness into our daily life.

nicky for web siteWe all need a break from time to time but it’s not so easy to find conditions that allow us to totally unwind and get away from it all.

Our day retreats afford us exactly the right conditions to relax and also gain valuable experiences and practices for finding peace.

On this course we use a meditation called body of light. Guidance on how to find and experience a clarity and lightness that is already within us will leave us feeling peaceful and inspired.

November 11 | Inspiration

Arthur 2The urban day retreats gives you the ideal conditions to unwind and clear your mind. This is a perfect opportunity to reduce the stress of daily life and tap into your own everlasting source of inner peace.

In this course we invite you to engage in a very special meditation combining mindfulness of the breath with the recitation of a very simple mantra- om ah hum.

Experience total relaxation in the environment of our beautiful modern day temple.
