Healthy families depend upon healthy parenting.  To be a good parent involves juggling endless stresses and demands, keeping a healthy perspective, and being an effective  role model for our children.

Our Parents and Tots class includes simple, practical and effective mindfulness and meditation methods perfect for busy parents and guardians that address the real-world challenges of parents in our busy world.

The class structure principally focusses on teaching adults, while children play with age-appropriate toys in the peaceful, inspiring setting of the temple.  Families are welcome to stay after class for tea and chat.

No previous experience of mindfulness or meditation is necessary, and no special clothing is required–just come as you are.

This class is intended specifically for parents and guardians with children aged 0-4 years old; if you have a child 5-11 years old, please book to attend our Kids Club class on Sunday afternoons instead.

Please note although we have assistants to help with the class we cannot provide child care.

joelleOther people in our experience fall into three categories; our friends and loved-ones, people we don’t like or have hostility towards, and the vast majority of people to whom we feel indifference. In this 3-week series we will learn how this unbalanced attitude towards people is unrealistic and causes ourselves and others to suffer. We will engage in meditation and contemplation that allows us to question these instinctive categorisations and how to draw closer in our heart to everyone. This will not diminish or reduce the loving kindness we already enjoy in our existing close relationships, rather, it will enable us to expand this warm close feeling to many people, even strangers, ultimately giving us as well as others deep confidence and joy.
