Come along to an inspiring evening with guided meditation and practical advice that will reveal how to become the positive and happy person we would like to be. Through training in meditation and special ways of thinking, we will discover the incredible potential we all have to experience real and lasting happiness.

There will be some time at the end of the talk for question and answer, and after the talk we will be serving complimentary refreshments.

Meditation is an ancient, well tested and highly effective means for developing greater peace, happiness, and stability in our lives. It improves our sleep, physical health, concentration, relationships and general wellbeing. However, if we have tried to meditate, we may sometimes struggle to attain these benefits.

In this series, we will practise some simple breathing and contemplative meditations. We will learn precisely what meditation is, why it is so beneficial, and how actually to meditate. We will learn simple techniques to aid our meditation, develop greater confidence in our ability to meditate, and come to enjoy its many advantages. Whether new to meditation, or experienced, this series will be of benefit to you.

This series is based on the book ‘The New Meditation Handbook’, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
